9th to 18th of August
Celebrating it’s 40th year there is certainly something for everyone at this Kilkenny Festival with everything from dance and theatre, live classical and contemporary music, street theatre, crafts and literature.
17th to the 25th of August
Kilkenny celebrates Heritage Week with an assortment of fun and entertaining events happening in the city and county for the festival. There are many events in which you can take part in and also offers family friendly options from walking tours of Kilkenny’s history, researching your family tree, take part in archaeology workshops or become a wild life detective for the day. There are over 60 different events happening in the city and country so this is a must for heritage and history buffs!
9th to the 12th of October
Embrace your inner fashionista with this festival, there will be style workshops, pop up fashion shows, late night shopping and some cocktails along the way! A great event for a girls weekend in Kilkenny.
A Festival of Food
24th to 28th October
This festival is a favourite for foodies with cookery demonstrations from some very well-known chefs, food markets with artisan foods and drinks, a food lovers trail, wine tasting to health and wellbeing. This is a festival that proves more popular every year for those who love food!
26th & 27th October
The name says it all! Enjoy some scarily good events in Kilkenny City for the Halloween Weekend.
7th to the 10th November
This is a very different festival surrounding economics but removing all of the mystery and adding in some laughter with top economists & entertainers making an appearance to what is usually a sell out event.
25th of November to 1st of December
This festival is Ireland’s newest film festival, providing a unique opportunity to see some of the most popular European films that you won’t catch anywhere else, it also gives you a chance to meet the film makers and the actors!
